Okta

SSO

Leverage Okta SSO and SCIM provisioning for enterprise-grade access management. User access is controlled directly through Okta groups, and CompBldr role assignments update automatically when Okta group membership changes, ensuring real-time synchronization of permissions.

Identity, Security, and Productivity

Google Workspace

SSO

Utilize Google OAuth single sign-on for organizations running on Google Workspace. Employees and managers can access CompBldr using their existing Google credentials. This means no separate passwords to manage and no additional provisioning steps for your IT team.

Identity, Security, and Productivity

Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID

SSO

Enable single sign-on and automated user provisioning via Microsoft Entra ID. Role-based access in CompBldr mirrors your directory group membership; users gain or lose access automatically as their roles change in the HRIS, eliminating manual administrator intervention and improving security audits.

Identity, Security, and Productivity

15Five

Import

Pull performance ratings and engagement data from 15Five into CompBldr to support merit matrix calibration. This integration helps HR teams identify "outliers", employees whose current compensation does not accurately reflect their assessed performance level or contribution.

Performance Management Systems

Lattice

Import

Import performance ratings and merit eligibility from Lattice into CompBldr’s compensation planning cycle. This allows managers to see critical performance context alongside salary range positioning while they are making merit recommendations, reducing the risk of biased decisions.

Performance Management Systems

PerformSpark

Native

As TraineryHCM’s native performance management module, PerformSpark offers seamless synchronization. Performance ratings, goal completion, and review cycle outcomes flow directly into CompBldr’s compensation planning without any configuration required, offering a true "one platform" experience with no data transfer overhead.

Performance Management Systems

Mercer TRS

Data Source

Mercer Total Remuneration Survey data is integrated into CompBldr’s blended market figure. Its presence contributes to the per-position confidence score, which reflects the statistical weight and reliability behind the final market benchmark.

Compensation and Market Data Sources

Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) OES

Data Source

BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics data feeds CompBldr’s benchmarking for public sector and government compensation studies. This source is particularly relevant for JER HR Group’s extensive government sector engagements and provides a baseline for broader labor market trends.

Compensation and Market Data Sources

Salary.com

Data Source

As one of the six primary sources blended in CompBldr’s market benchmarking engine, Salary.com data is weighted by sample size and adjusted with aging factors. It contributes directly to the blended market figure displayed in MktBldr’s benchmarking reports.

Compensation and Market Data Sources

Ceridian Dayforce

Bi-directional

Sync current pay data from Ceridian Dayforce into CompBldr for accurate compa-ratio calculations and cycle planning. Finalized compensation changes then export back to Dayforce for seamless payroll execution.

Payroll and Finance Systems

Paylocity

Export

Push approved compensation changes from CompBldr's planning cycles to Paylocity. This keeps payroll records aligned with compensation decisions without requiring HR to manage a separate, manual data transfer process.

Payroll and Finance Systems

ADP Enterprise HR

Export

Export finalized merit increases, off-cycle adjustments, and new hire range placements from CompBldr directly to ADP Enterprise for payroll processing. This reduces manual re-entry and simplifies reconciliation between HR and payroll departments.

Payroll and Finance Systems

BambooHR

Frequently Asked Questions

Does CompBldr connect directly to Workday, or does it require a manual data export?

CompBldr connects directly to Workday HCM via API. Employee records, job profiles, and org structure sync into CompBldr's position library automatically. Evaluated grades and salary range assignments write back to Workday compensation fields—no manual export required on either side.

How does the market data integration work? Is survey data uploaded manually?

No. CompBldr's MktBldr module connects to six independent compensation survey sources, Salary.com, BLS OES, ERI, Mercer TRS, Radford, and WTW, and blends them within the platform. Data is aged, weighted by sample size, and averaged to produce a single confidence-scored benchmark per position. Survey files are not uploaded manually.

What is the difference between a bi-directional integration and an import-only integration?

A bi-directional integration reads data from the connected system into CompBldr and writes CompBldr outputs back. For example, a Workday integration pulls employee records in and pushes evaluated grades and salary ranges back. An import-only integration, like BambooHR or 15Five, pulls data into CompBldr but does not write back to the source system.

Is PerformSpark the only native performance integration?

Yes. PerformSpark is TraineryHCM's native performance management module, it shares the same data layer as CompBldr, so performance ratings and merit eligibility flow directly into compensation planning with no configuration. Other performance systems (Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome, Betterworks) connect via import integration with structured data mapping.

How does SSO work with CompBldr?

CompBldr supports single sign-on via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Google Workspace OAuth, and Okta. Microsoft and Okta also support SCIM for automated user provisioningsers are created, updated, and deactivated in CompBldr automatically as their directory group membership changes. No manual user management is required.

Can CompBldr export data to systems that are not on the integrations list?

Yes. Every CompBldr report and compensation output, position listings, market comparisons, pay equity analyses, merit cycle results, and cost projections, exports to Excel-compatible CSV and structured formats. For payroll and HRIS systems without a native integration, CompBldr's structured CSV export is formatted for direct upload. Custom API integrations are also available for enterprise accounts.
